The Tartan Pimpernel – Lost in Translation

LOST IN TRANSLATION –

I AM TOTALLY INNOCENT – SAYS MAN FINGERED BY POLICE AS DRUGS TRAFFICKER

Walter Douglas has been in touch to state that he has been unfairly treated and re-iterates the fact that he has never been convicted in connection with drugs or for money laundering.

Although this is quite clearly stated in the original story it is not clearly stated in reports in the British press reports constructed with material from here. I am more than happy to confirm this fact again and am happy to add that he has not in any way challenged any police force or goaded them by intimating that they cannot catch him.

That sentiment is not the view of Mr. Douglas but certainly after interviewing Mr. Douglas I am of the opinion that all police operations against Mr. Douglas have failed and some may have been based on false information.

And while newspapers appear to have reported that Douglas in some way has been goading the police I am happy to point out that I sought an interview with Mr. Douglas and he appeared to answer all questions politely and directly without any personal remarks about the police other than their actions against him had not succeeded.

Corrections have been made to a Wikipedia page on Walter Douglas.
