SOCIAL NETWORK PROBLEMS OF EX-PAT DAD’S KIDS

FATHER FIGHTS FOR HIS LAST CORNER OF BED AS IPADS AND IPAD CHARGERS
TAKE ON THE MANTLE OF THE TRIFFIDS

Ok this is a little diversion. And this has got to be every parent’s problem too. The iPads rule OK. Now I am fighting with my two year old for my iphone. This picture was taken at bed-time tonight.

Annie, 7, has graduated from ‘Minecraft’ to more sophisticated stuff. Matthew, 4, bless him is still on Barbie and Mermaids, but I taught him how to use a bow and arrow at the weekend and he went out to shoot up the street.

And Archie is on Youtube watching Psy’s Gangnam Style video.

But I do ban these machines on several days of the week. They have to talk to me sometimes!

  1. Cute kids AD,

I read an intersting article the other day about how restaurant profits have dipped – and in some cases dived – around the world because of social media devices.

People enter restaurants and they don't look at the menu until they have fooked around on their phones for a while. Delay in table turnover.

They order, but instead of plowing into their food, it's a fork in one hand and a phone in the other. Delay in table turnover.

They finally finish their food and instead of asking for the check, they sit around and play on their phones. Delay in table turnover.

    Profits drop drastically.

    It's a new world.

  2. Tell me about it Drummond….. My boy has a 7 inch Galaxy Tab, iphone 4s and galaxy note 10.1 "hand-me-downs" but he still prefers my own personal Galaxy Note 4… Our kids are gonna be a zombie generation, fixated to liquid crystal displays for the rest of thier lives!
